Can I park at the RNA Showgrounds?

The RNA offers public car parks at most of our events. No public parking is available during Ekka. See more information on parking at the RNA Showgrounds.

Are there ATM's onsite?

Yes, locations vary for different events.  There is a permanent ATM located at the lower level of Exhibition Building.

What music festivals are on this year?

There are always a variety of music festivals on at the RNA Showgrounds, please see What's On to find out more.

Are tables and chairs available to use?

Limited furniture is available for hire. Please see Events Services for more information.

Can I do my own catering?

The RNA retains the rights to all food and beverages.

Are we able to do our own decorations?

Yes, we have a list of companies that frequent the RNA Showgrounds that we can provide to you as a guide.

Once I have booked and paid for my event, are there any additional costs?

Yes.  Depending on the venue, there are additional costs for cleaning, consumerables, waste removal, hire items, electricity, car parking and public liability insurance. Please see Events Services for more information.

Is it possible to access the venue outside the specified event times?

It is not always possible, however the RNA will endeavour to meet your requirements and arrangements need to be made well in advance. An 'early or late access charge' may be incurred.

Do I need a public liability certificate or currency for my event?

Yes, all events at the RNA Showgrounds require a current public liability certificate of currency specific to your event.  For additional information on how to obtain your public liability certificate of currency please contact enquiries@rnashowgrounds.com.au.

Can I hold a charity event at the RNA Showgrounds?

Yes, all charities are evaluated on a case by case basis.  Please contact enquiries@rnashowgrounds.com.au directly for more information.

Can I book a meeting room for a small conference?

Yes, the Governors Pavilion is suitable for meetings and small conferences. As part of the regeneration project there will be more meeting and conference facilities available. Learn more about the RNA Showgrounds Regeneration Project.

How do I apply to work at upcoming music festivals?

To apply for employment at upcoming music festivals held at the RNA Showgrounds simply send an email to employment@rnashowgrounds.com.au and attach the following:

  1. A brief resume listing previous bar/customer service experience and contact details.
  2. A scanned copy of your current Queensland RSA Certificate.

NB  - It is a legislative requirement that any person serving alcohol to the general public in Queensland must hold a Qld RSA Certificate. The Nationally recognised RSA is not valid in Queensland.
