Facilities
- The ground floor of the Royal International Convention Centre -
Brisbane Australia features 4,500 square metres of space which
fronts 1,800 square metres of flexible open Plaza space.
- Level One features three flexible halls totalling 3,210 square
metres plus 1,500 square metres of foyer space and a 1,200 square
metre commercial kitchen.
- It also houses seven meeting rooms of flexible combinations
totalling 630 square metres plus two board rooms.
- Apart from featuring the new worldclass convention centre, the
RNA Showgrounds features unique facilities that no other venue
nationally can offer.
- They include:
- A main arena with grandstands capable of accommodating 20,000
people.
- Amusement areas.
- Stabling for 740 horses and accommodation for 1,600 large
animals at any one time, ideal for agricultural and equestrian
events.
- Onsite parking for up to 2,700 vehicles.
- A range of indoor and outdoor venues ideal for events of all
sizes.

Operable ceiling grid system
- One of the most unique features of the centre is its
world-class custom built operable ceiling grid system which can cut
exhibition set-up time by up to a day.
- It is the only centre in Australia to feature this state of the
art rigging system.
- It involves 39 square metre frames each capable of a 700kg load
and each fitted with power and network ports.
- They are able to be lowered by remote control for banners,
lighting, audio visual equipment and other materials which can be
fitted with ease and importantly, without the need for scissor
lifts.
- It means less labour, less time and less set-up cost.
Business events
- In its first year of operation, the 22,000 square metre Royal
International Convention Centre - Brisbane Australia is expected to
stage 140 events attracting almost 30,000 people and inject an
estimated $20 million in economic benefit to Brisbane.
- Within three years, the centre is expected to attract 220
events annually generating tens of millions of dollars for the
Brisbane economy.

Catering
- World-class catering facilities feature 12 of the latest
designed self-cooking centres, capable of serving 2,600 plates in
40 minutes.
- Featuring state of the art design, the cooking centres enable
us to produce fresh food on a daily basis for large numbers, this
is unique considering many venues currently use Regethermic cooking
systems.
- The self-cooking centres feature a computerised system which
enables us to track and monitor the quality of food being
served.
- A team of in-house executive chefs will tailor a menu to suit
all needs and budgets and are able to cater for multiple events at
any one time from unobtrusive side entry points.
- The Royal International Convention Centre - Brisbane Australia
is a multipurpose venue capable of holding more than a dozen
catered events at any one time.

RNA Showgrounds Regeneration Project
- The $2.9 billion 15 year regeneration project is the largest
Brownfield development of its kind in Australia and the most
significant urban renewal project in Brisbane since Southbank.
- With 340,000 square metres of new residential and commercial
development, once completed the precinct is expected to be home to
3,000 residents and 15,000 people working throughout the retail and
office precincts.
- The Royal International
Convention Centre - Brisbane Australia is part of stage one of this
exciting project.
