The RNA Showgrounds is a truly unique exhibition venue for Brisbane.

It is the only site that offers large scale outdoor and indoor venues in the inner city of Brisbane and it demonstrates tremendous adaptability, versatility and character.

Creative imaginations have free reign at the RNA Showgrounds, where there is little we cannot accommodate.

The exhibitions held here are as diverse as the site itself. Probably the most recognised annual exhibitions include The Queensland Caravanning and Camping and Tours Holiday Show, The Truck and Machinery Show, The Home Show and The Model Railway and Miniature Train Show to name a few.

Centrally located in the inner city of Brisbane, the Showground is ideally positioned to welcome patrons to your event. Just 3km from Brisbane’s CBD, 1km from Fortitude Valley and en-route to the Brisbane Airport and Gold and Sunshine Coasts, access is easy.

The Showgrounds can accommodate up to 3,000 vehicles on site and public transport options are abundant, with two railway stations within walking distance and buses servicing the surrounding streets regularly.

EXHIBITION BUILDING
Everything you need for a well-organised event lies in the Exhibition Building.

 From the loading dock—accessed via Gregory Terrace for a trouble-free set-up—to the private organiser’s offi ce overlooking the exhibition area, this venue offers it all.

Other features are full power, water, a kitchen servery and cold room.

The Exhibition Building sprawls over 4,625 square metres of exhibition space on level two and an additional 3,800 square metres on level one.

COMMERCE BUILDING
The Commerce Building consists of two levels and provides large open spaces perfect for exhibitions, trades shows or private functions. Both areas offer outdoor areas with the balconies on the upper level overlooking a private enclosed courtyard, covered by large sails, on the lower level. An advantage to this venue is full vehicle access to both levels. A ramp to the upper level enables direct and immediate access, with the lower level providing equally easy access at street level.

Inside the upper level, there is plenty of open space, with high ceilings, a kitchen servery, cold room and a bar. The area also offers two private airconditioned meeting rooms perfect for an event organiser’s offi ce.

The lower level is simply an enclosed ground level space for those with imagination.

During the Royal Queensland Show (EkkA!), this building features a variety of different exhibitors, a stage with diverse entertainment offerings and a successful up-market restaurant and bar area. This venue is also the home of the Royal Queensland Wine Show which is the fi rst of the annual national wine shows held in capital cities around Australia. It is signifi cant for the wine industry as it provides the fi rst taste of the new season’s vintage and allows major national wineries an opportunity to judge and showcase their wines.

JOHN REID WOOL PAVILION
With its soaring cathedral ceilings and inspired architectural design, the John Reid Wool Pavilion provides a unique blank canvas for events of all sizes and themes.

So much so that event planners from a variety of industries have kept this versatile venue in high demand.
In the daylight hours, the gloriously high ceilings can accommodate large trade shows and product launch displays with ease; along with team building days and retail sales. Come sunset, the addition of elegant lighting and imaginative props creates an atmospheric space ideal for glamorous fashion parades, balls and dinners.

Entry points from Gregory Terrace and Alexandria Street will enable your customers or guests to access the Pavilion with ease. 

THE AVENUES
The Avenues is a veritable boulevard of landscaped gardens and paved walkways that extends along Alexandria Street.

Consisting of a series of interconnecting buildings, The Avenues may be utilized individually or together to provide more than 6,000 square metres of undercover function space. This makes it the ideal venue for large themed events, tradeshows and public exhibitions.

By making use of both the streetscape and the buildings on The Avenues, you can create a seamless transition from outside to indoors. Previous events held at this venue are diverse, ranging from fashion parades and product launches to sales and team building days; all of which highlight the sheer versatility of The Avenues.
